About The Position
This position facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures within the Operating Room. The Certified Surgical Technologist will prepare the surgical suite with necessary instruments and supplies, hand instruments and supplies to the surgeon during procedures, and assist with patient preparation, transport, positioning, and draping. The role also involves maintaining instrument organization and monitoring instrument counts throughout procedures, as well as assisting surgeons with hemostasis.
Requirements
- High school diploma equivalency AND completion of a surgical technologist program with a clinical component OR a minimum of 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
- BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Nice To Haves
- Associate's degree or technical degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year neuro or cardiac experience preferred.
Responsibilities

- Hand required and requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.
- Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
- Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor and track instruments counts throughout procedures.
- Assist surgeons provision of hemostasis during surgery.
