About The Position

The role facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Obtain Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification within twelve months of hire.
• Current CPR – Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical operating suite with drapes, medications, solutions, instruments, equipment, implants, and supplies.
• Ensure the availability and functionality of equipment and instruments.
• Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
• Pass instruments to the physician during surgery.
• Continually account for the number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.
• Receive and process specimens, if required, for delivery to the laboratory.
