About The Position

Emplify Health is seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Surgical Tech to join its team at Palmer - West Union. The role primarily performs in the scrub position, preparing, selecting, and maintaining equipment, instruments, and supplies. The Surgical Tech assists physicians as a scrub person according to prescribed standards and assists the RN with circulating duties as directed. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with typical start times between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m., eight-hour shifts, and an on-call rotation. The position is part-time and eligible for full-time benefits. Starting pay is $27.32 per hour, with additional pay for relatable experience.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited surgical tech program.
• Obtain Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification within two years of the hire date; certification is not required until two years after the start date.
• Maintain current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers certification, including hands-on learning, from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians as a scrub person according to prescribed standards.
• Assist the RN in performing circulating duties as directed.
• Prepare, select, and maintain equipment, instruments, and supplies, primarily in the scrub role.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
