About The Position

The Operating Room Tech prepares sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure, maintains the sterile field during cases, and provides surgeons with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures. This is a full-time day-shift role at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine, with four 9-hour shifts. The stated pay range is $26.56 to $30.31 per hour. Central Maine Medical Center is part of Central Maine Healthcare, an integrated healthcare delivery system serving central, western, and midcoast Maine.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or related experience.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or completion of on-the-job training with a minimum of 3 years of experience; surgical-setting experience is preferred.
• Experience scrubbing minor and major procedures in generalized surgical specialties, such as GYN, general surgery, and plastics.
• Experience scrubbing at least minor procedures in specialty surgical areas, such as orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT, and urology.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintenance of current certification.
