About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Las Colinas is seeking a qualified Certified Surgical Technologist. This role involves providing surgical scrub on minor and major procedures, maintaining a sterile field, and organizing instruments and supplies for maximum efficiency. The position also includes participating in a rotational call system and re-stocking Operating Room supplies. The hospital is a joint venture between Baylor Scott & White Health, United Surgical Partners International, and local physicians, serving the North Texas region with a focus on Orthopedics, Joint Replacement, Spine, Urology, General Surgery, and ENT. Responsibilities

Providing surgical scrub on all types of minor and major surgical procedures dependent on individual competence.
Setting up and maintaining a sterile field for minor and major surgical procedures applying special knowledge of asepsis.
Applying specialized knowledge of specialized instruments, equipment, and supplies utilized in the Operating Room.
Organizing instruments, equipment, and supplies for easy access and maximum efficiency.
Participating in a rotational call system as needed to provide for continuous availability of patient services.
Following appropriate guidelines for setting up sterile field and instruments for designated procedures.
Re-stocking Operating Room supplies as caseload permits.
Alert to the detection of errors in own work and the work of others with appropriate corrective actions initiated.
Utilizing appropriate lines of accountability for the continuous improvement of quality.
