About The Position

We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team. This role involves performing the full spectrum of sterile techniques, preparing patients for surgery, and assisting with post-operative care. You will be responsible for ensuring surgical packs are cleaned and prepared for sterilization, restocking supplies, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The position requires pulling supplies for upcoming cases, performing scrub duties, maintaining sterile fields, anticipating surgeon needs, handling instruments and supplies, and adhering to sterile processing and infection control standards.

Requirements

  • Graduate from Surgical Technology program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or completion of a formal training program provided by any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces (Army, Navy, or Air Force) for surgical technicians, surgical technologists or operating room technicians.
  • Certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or certified as a Tech-in-Surgery (TS-C) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or possess a Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) certification as a surgical technician and/or operating room technician.
  • One year of experience within the last two years as a Surgical Technician or Operating Room Technician.
  • Minimum one year of recent OR scrub experience (within the last year).
  • Knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical instrumentation.
  • Possess a current AHA OR ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the full spectrum of sterile techniques.

  • Prepare and drape patients for surgery.
  • Assist with post-operative dressings.
  • Ensure surgical packs are cleaned and packed for sterilization after every procedure.
  • Restock surgical supplies.
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment for the patient.
  • Pull supplies for next day cases.
  • Perform scrub duties for surgical procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain sterile fields.
