Certified Surgical Services Assistant/CNA (Per Diem)

About The Position
Responsible for a variety of duties, including direct patient care tasks under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and non-direct patient care activities that support unit function and the daily Operating Room schedule. This is a per diem position.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Current Nursing Assistant-Certified credential in the State of Washington.
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire.
- Knowledge of the principles of asepsis.
Nice To Haves
- Six months of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
- Six months of previous experience in Surgical Services, Patient Scheduling, and Health Unit Coordinator work.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, set up, and turn over Operating Room cases.
- Prepare charts for admission, discharge, and transfer.
- Sterilize and clean instruments and equipment in compliance with AORN standards.
- Provide and maintain anesthesia supplies and equipment.
- Back up the scheduler in scheduling advanced elective surgery procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
