Requirements

• Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Guarantee patient safety by meticulously decontaminating and sterilizing surgical instruments according to the highest clinical standards and manufacturer guidelines.
• Lead the quality control process by inspecting and assembling complex instrument sets, ensuring every tool is functional, complete, and ready for the surgeon’s hand.
• Optimize surgical workflows by maintaining precise inventory levels and preparing accurate case carts, ensuring the operating team has exactly what they need when they need it.
• Validate the integrity of sterilization equipment through rigorous monitoring and testing, providing the team with total confidence in the sterility of every container and device.
• Support a culture of excellence by performing peer audits and quality assurance checks, fostering a collaborative environment dedicated to zero-error clinical outcomes.
