Certified Sterile Processing Technician -PRN
About The Position
The Certified Sterile Processing Technician receives, fills, and delivers supply orders; processes and sterilizes instrument trays; cleans and inspects patient equipment; and gathers instruments and supplies for surgical case carts. The role operates equipment and some computer systems and inventories and restocks departmental supplies and special carts. The position is with Methodist Celina Medical Center, a planned full-service hospital serving Celina and surrounding communities. The center is expected to open with 51 beds and offer services including cardiology, women’s services, orthopedics, and robotic surgery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an approved Sterile Processing Technician Program, Surgical Technologist Program, or on-the-job training in a hospital-based training program.
- Certification by HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) or CBSPD.
