Certified Sterile Processing Technician -PRN
About The Position
The Certified Sterile Processing Technician receives, fills, and delivers supply orders; processes and sterilizes instrument trays; cleans and inspects patient equipment; and gathers instruments and supplies for surgical case carts. The role operates equipment and some computer systems, inventories departmental supplies, and restocks supplies and special carts. Methodist Celina Medical Center is a 51-bed hospital on a 40+ acre campus in Celina, Texas, with plans for expansion. The center will provide services including cardiology, women’s services, orthopedics, and robotic surgery, and its campus will include a 40,000-square-foot medical office building.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an approved Sterile Processing Technician Program, Surgical Technologist Program, or completion of on-the-job training in a hospital-based training program.
- Certification by HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) or CBSPD.
