About The Position

Our client is seeking a Certified Special Education Teacher – Visually Impaired (TVI) in Glendale, AZ area. This role involves assessing and planning individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with visual impairments, providing direct instruction in Braille, assistive technology, and adaptive techniques for academic and life skills. The teacher will collaborate with general/special educators, families, and related service providers, and adapt curriculum and materials into accessible formats (Braille, large print, digital, tactile). The position also requires monitoring progress and documenting student performance and goal achievement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Arizona Teaching Certificate with a Special Education - Visually Impaired (K–12) endorsement.
• Knowledge of Braille, low vision strategies, and assistive technology for students with visual impairments.
• Experience in individualized instruction and collaboration within multidisciplinary educational teams.

Responsibilities
