Certified Social Worker (CSW) - Travel Group Therapist, As Needed, Hopkinsville
About The Position
Harbor Behavioral Health is seeking Certified Social Workers to provide shift-based travel coverage for its Therapeutic Rehabilitation Program in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. The position is intended for CSWs who live in or near Lexington, Louisville, or Northern Kentucky. Candidates choose among the coverage shifts offered, with shifts and schedules confirmed in writing before they begin. The role is on site at the Hopkinsville program. Each shift begins with a morning team meeting. The CSW leads the day's group and completes the clinical notes the same day; a Peer Support Specialist usually works alongside the CSW and starts the notes, and an LCSW co-signs them. Over time, and under supervision, the CSW also completes assessments and treatment plans for clients in their groups. Required Board supervision is provided by an LCSW, with a supervision contract submitted for Kentucky Board of Social Work approval before the CSW starts. The employer reports that approval averages about three weeks and that work begins the week approval is granted. The position pays $50 for every hour of a Hopkinsville shift, including drive time, with mileage and lodging paid in addition. There is no on-call duty or productivity quota. Employment is contingent on completion of HBH pre-employment checks and screenings, license and education verification, and reference checks.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program.
- Active Kentucky Certified Social Worker (CSW) license, maintained in good standing throughout employment.
- Kentucky Board of Social Work approval of a supervision contract with a Board-approved LCSW before starting.
- Willingness to travel to the Hopkinsville program.
- Intermediate to proficient ability to use AI tools in daily work, such as drafting, organizing, summarizing, and streamlining workflows.
- Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
- Successful completion of required pre-employment background, registry, and federal exclusion checks; drug and health screenings; license and education verification; and reference checks.

- Familiarity with Kentucky Medicaid documentation standards.
Responsibilities
- Attend the morning team meeting at the start of each shift.
