About The Position

Responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive school counseling program that includes preventative and responsive services while fostering academic, career, and social-emotional development. This position is for the 2026-2027 school year and is located at Anclote High School. It is a full-time, benefit-eligible position for 196 days per year. The role may require teaching an additional period beyond the base contract, with additional compensation provided for this supplement.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution in the field of Guidance and Counseling, School Counseling, or related field OR Master’s degree from an accredited institution with a major in counseling other than school counseling that includes a minimum of 600 clock hours of supervised internship with school-aged children and their families with at least 9 semester hours of graduate credit as defined in Florida Department of Education Rule 6A-4.0181
  • Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate in Guidance and Counseling or School Counseling PK-12
  • Fingerprinting and Level II background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
