About The Position

Responsible for developing, planning, organizing, and implementing a therapy program to meet the needs of speech, language, and hearing-impaired students, while ensuring that all procedures are followed to maintain safety and security and to meet federal, state, and local regulations. This position may require teaching an additional period beyond the base contract, with additional compensation for instructing this period. This amount is considered part of the salary for Florida Retirement System purposes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in the field of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD), or related field.
Enrollment in a Master’s degree program at an accredited institution in the field of Speech-Language Pathology, or related field OR Acceptance into a Master’s degree program at an accredited institution in the field of Speech-Language Pathology, or related field, within a year of hire.
Valid and current Florida certification in field, or hold appropriate state license for position.
Fingerprinting and Level II background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Bachelor level and clinical fellowship year (CFY) applicants encouraged to apply.
Mentoring and supervision for Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) available.
