About The Position

Central Maine Healthcare (CMH) is seeking a Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) to join their Assisted Living department at Rumford Community Home. This role involves administering medications to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse, performing routine daily tasks to ensure resident well-being, and functioning within established policies and regulations. The CRMA will have working contacts with residents, families, medical professionals, and other staff, and may be assigned responsibility for decisions specific to their functions. The position also includes performing resident care when not utilized as a CRMA.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a Residential Care Specialist 1, or Personal Support Specialist (PSS) Certificate. May be trained within 4 months of employment.
  • Must have state approved 40-hour certificated medication administration certification.
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills to be able to accurately administer proper medication dosage.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in long-term care resident care is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administers medications to residents in accordance with the rules and regulations governing the licensing and functioning of Residential Care Facilities.
  • Performs routine daily tasks required to maintain the health, comfort, and well-being of residents.
  • Functions within the constraints of established policy and procedure consistent with accepted/allowed standards of practice and state and federal regulations.
  • Performs resident care when not being utilized as a CRMA.
