About The Position

Administers intravenous, general and regional anesthetics to render persons insensible to pain during surgical procedures, deliveries, or other medical and dental procedures. Comprehensive patient care management throughout the peri-anesthetic period.

Requirements

  • Current NC RN license or licensure from Nursing Compact State.
  • Graduate of accredited nurse anesthesia program.
  • Current NC CRNA verification.
  • BCLS certification. If the BCLS certification is not from the American Heart Association (AHA), an AHA certification is required within three months of employment date.
  • Effective May 4, 2015 newly employed Registered Nurses and current employees promoted to Registered Nurse positions are required to possess a BSN degree or are required to enroll in an approved accredited BSN degree program within two years of date of employment or placement into RN position.
  • The BSN degree must be obtained within five years of date of employment or placement.
  • No previous experience required. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or higher.
  • PALS certification.
  • Two or more years of experience working in hospital setting.
