About The Position

Children's Mercy is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join their team at the Kansas location. This role offers an exceptional work-life balance, premium pay for extra hours, and opportunities for extra shift work. The anesthesia care team provides services at multiple locations, offering a high level of acuity, coverage of all specialties, and encouraging autonomy and growth. This specific position will provide coverage at the Kansas location only, with 10-hour shifts and no weekday or weekend overnight call. The anesthesia care team includes physicians, anesthetists, residents, and fellows. Anesthetists serve as paid preceptors to rotating anesthesia students and can participate in department and hospital-wide committees. The perioperative team fosters an environment of inclusion, support, and encouragement. Requirements

  • Master's Degree
  • Graduated from a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or by its successor agency.
  • Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hire
  • Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas required upon hire
  • RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO
  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist KS
  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - Missouri Required Upon Hire
  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - Kansas Required Upon Hire
  • Refer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications. Required Upon Hire
  • Certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) Required Upon Hire

Responsibilities

  • Expertly provides anesthesia services as delineated by the collaborative practice agreement for the patient/family which promotes optimal patient outcomes.
