About The Position

This is a PRN (as needed) position to fill in for vacation and sick relief for full-time CRNAs. The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is responsible for administering anesthesia and providing anesthesia-related care before, during, and after surgical or procedural interventions. They collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical professionals to ensure patient safety and comfort and to determine appropriate anesthesia plans. The CRNA administers various types of anesthesia, including general, regional, and local anesthesia, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout procedures. They monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed to maintain stability during surgery. Additionally, the CRNA provides post-anesthesia care, assessing patients as they recover and addressing any complications. They maintain accurate records of anesthesia administration and patient responses, following legal and facility documentation requirements. The CRNA collaborates with surgical and medical teams to develop and implement patient care plans and educates patients and families about the anesthesia process and post-operative expectations.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program
• Active RN and CRNA licensure in the state of Kentucky
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
