About The Position

Auberle’s Family Healing Center (FHC) is a licensed inpatient 3.5 drug and alcohol treatment facility focused on addiction treatment and family healing. Its holistic program combines personalized care, evidence-based therapies, trauma-informed care, and family support. Children may live on-site with a parent during treatment, helping families remain connected throughout recovery. The Certified Recovery Specialist/Certified Family Recovery Specialist uses personal experience with addiction, either individually or within the family, to provide peer support and build trust with clients and families. The role also supports life-skills development, facilitates recovery-focused groups, coordinates practical assistance, and advocates for clients as they access community resources and reintegrate into the community.

Requirements

Act 33/34 and FBI clearances.
High school diploma or GED.
Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license, vehicle, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance.
Availability to work varied hours, including evenings, some weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Use personal experience with addiction, individually or within the family, to provide peer support and foster trust and understanding with clients and families.
Provide hands-on support in developing life skills, including parenting and adult daily living skills.
Lead and facilitate recovery-focused group sessions that provide education, peer support, and coping strategies.
Help clients and families obtain supplies and coordinate transportation to appointments.
Ensure apartments are prepared for new arrivals.
Advocate for clients’ needs and help them navigate community resources.
Promote positive reintegration into the community.
