About The Position

MP Business Services is a diversified, Montana-based organization supporting a growing portfolio of operating companies, including Jesco Marine & Power Sports, Jesco Metalworks, Kalispell Kubota, and Jesco Storage. With active expansion into new ventures and service partnerships, we provide centralized financial, operational, and administrative support across multiple industries. We are seeking a highly experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our team in a hands-on, high-impact role. This position combines advanced corporate tax responsibilities with day-to-day accounting functions across multiple entities. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and brings a team-oriented mindset to a fast-moving and entrepreneurial environment. This is not a purely advisory role—you’ll be expected to both lead and execute.

Requirements

  • Active CPA license (required)
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting and hands-on corporate tax experience with multi-entity structures, intercompany considerations, and complex filings
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
  • Experience operating in a multi-entity or complex business environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage both strategic initiatives and hands-on accounting tasks
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, growth-oriented business

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file federal and state corporate tax returns across multiple entities
  • Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and deadlines
  • Manage tax planning strategies to optimize financial outcomes
  • Coordinate with external advisors when needed
  • Manage and coordinate external audits and serve as the primary point of contact for auditors
  • Perform and oversee accounts payable (AP) data entry and payment processing
  • Support accounts receivable (AR), including invoicing and collections
  • Assist with general ledger maintenance and reconciliations
  • Complete month-end and year-end close processes
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records across entities
  • Provide financial insight to leadership across multiple operating companies
  • Assist in improving accounting systems, processes, and internal controls
  • Adapt to evolving responsibilities as the business grows and diversifies
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
