About The Position

Elliott, Robinson, and Company, a locally owned and multi-award winning CPA firm is seeking to fill a full-time position, with our Springfield, MO office, for an experienced professional with CPA licensure. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field, required
  • Minimum 3 years – prefer 5+ years of recent progressive public accounting experience
  • Active CPA Licensure
  • Ability to complete skills based and job-related pre-employment assessments with satisfactory or passing score
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced communications skills for written & oral delivery
  • Ability to look at the overall client situation while not overlooking important details
  • Ability to work simultaneously as part of a team and independently is critical

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in accounting, preferred
  • Supervision and review experience is helpful, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Learning, developing, and applying technical skills at an advanced level in accounting and area(s) of specialization.
  • Public accounting experience in any of the following areas: individual/corporate tax preparation; financial statements; trust & estate tax; financial, not-for-profit, governmental or 401k auditing; reviewing/supervising work.
  • Takes ownership of assigned tasks by organizing workflows, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely completion within budget and scope to consistently deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Utilizes technology tools effectively and demonstrates a commitment to adhere to company processes and procedures.
  • Collaboratively works as part of a team to carry out tasks through mentoring and supervision.
  • Participates in and supports firm wide initiatives such as recruiting, continuing education, etc.
  • Build relationships at a peer and client level that aid in consistently exceeding expectations, create lasting value, and become a trusted partner.
