About The Position
Shriners Children’s is seeking a Per Diem Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist to join their Pediatric Orthotics and Prosthetics team. This role is responsible for fabricating orthoses for inpatients and outpatients as prescribed by medical staff, fitting patients for orthoses, and serving as a resource to other staff members. Requirements
- 1 year Orthotist, certified
- 1 year Prosthetics
- American Board for Certification and Prosthetics
- Board for Orthotist/Prosthetist Certification (BOC)
Responsibilities
- Fabricate specific orthoses and prostheses for inpatients and outpatients utilizing a variety of technical skills and knowledge
- Provide appropriate direct patient care in a clinical setting under direction of the Orthotics/Prosthetics Manager and within established procedures
- Performs a variety of administrative and operational support functions for department and according to patient needs
- Adhere to policies and procedures of department, hospital and professional interaction
