About The Position

The Learning Experience at Somerset is seeking passionate, dedicated Preschool Teachers with NJ Teaching Certification for Preschool to join their team. Two qualified Certified teachers are needed to teach Franklin Township District's Public Preschool Program offered at The Learning Experience in Somerset. This role involves implementing the Franklin Township School District's curriculum, conducting performance-based assessments, creating a safe and nurturing environment, communicating with parents, and partnering with staff and leadership to achieve the goals of the Public Preschool Expansion Program.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• CE or CEAS for preschool through grade three or other equivalent preschool certification, as set forth at N.J.A.C. 6A:9B
• NJ Teaching Certification for Preschool
• Applicable state licensing requirements for the role

Responsibilities

• Implement the curriculum offered by the Franklin Township School District for preschool education
• Conduct an on-going performance based assessment of all children as per District's guidelines
• Meet all required trainings and requirements to be an employee of The Learning Experience at Somerset
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn
• Communicate regularly with parents, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements through various avenues, personal discussions
• Partner with the daycare center staff and leadership to achieve the goals of the Public Preschool Expansion Program
• Build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and learning happen seamlessly
