They connect top talent with the facilities that need them most. This is an ongoing full-time assignment in the Clinical Laboratory department, with multiple shifts available. The role requires working Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends and holidays. The location is Los Angeles, 90033, and the salary range is $26.50-$30.50 per hour.

Requirements

  • California Dept. of Public Health (CDPH) License in Phlebotomy (CPT-I)
  • Minimum of one year phlebotomy experience in a healthcare setting
  • Ability to work alone and can follow protocol, procedures, and regulations
  • Must be able to work weekends
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
  • Proof of Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) if applicable
  • Current CPR Card issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Must have proof of MMR, Varicella vaccinations or titers.
  • Proof of TB/PPD or Chest X-ray within the past 12 Months
  • Current Annual Health Clearance
  • Reliable source of transportation
  • U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents (green card holders), or those who currently hold a valid and active U.S. work visa that permits employment without the need for employer sponsorship.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens, ensuring proper labeling and handling for integrity.
  • Interact professionally and compassionately with patients, ensuring comfort and understanding of the process.
  • Follow protocols to ensure accuracy, reliability, and high standards in specimen collection.
  • Maintain accurate records and enter data into the laboratory information system (LIS).
  • Adhere to strict infection control practices during specimen collection.
  • Clean and maintain phlebotomy equipment, reporting issues promptly.
  • Stay updated on phlebotomy techniques and regulations, participating in ongoing education.
  • Ensure compliance with CA DPH regulations and maintain required licensures.
