About The Position

The Certified Phlebotomist will be responsible for verifying patient identity, performing blood draws for both inpatient and outpatient patients, and accurately collecting, labeling, and processing specimens. This role also involves assisting with urine collections, blood cultures, and basic specimen processing, while adhering to laboratory procedures, safety rules, and infection-control standards. Maintaining patient privacy and providing professional customer service are key aspects of this position, along with clear communication with patients, nurses, and laboratory staff.

Requirements

  • Current Phlebotomy Certification.
  • Must be able to pass VA background screening and complete required VA onboarding/training.
  • Reliable, professional, and comfortable working in a healthcare setting.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Current BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain.
  • Experience with difficult blood draws is a plus.
