About The Position

Accredo Specialty Pharmacy, a division of Evernorth Health Services, is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join their team. This remote position requires the technician to reside in Tennessee and involves performing call queue, data entry, and other pharmacy queue work. The role offers a break from retail environments with a set schedule and the satisfaction of helping patients. The technician will translate prescriptions, enter information into patient profiles, work with pharmacists according to regulations and procedures, ensure quality assurance, report adverse events, and assist with prescriber and patient outreach.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years of Pharmacy Technician work experience required.
  • Valid Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license AND National Certification [PTCB or NHA] required.
  • Excellent customer service skill.
  • Basic math and computer skills including Windows navigation, Microsoft applications, internet and email.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to learn internal systems, processes and programs as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform call queue, data entry or other pharmacy queue work.
  • Translate prescriptions from the prescriber and enter information in the patient’s profile in accordance with state regulations.
  • Work with pharmacists per work instructions, policy and procedures, management direction or any national or state regulations.
  • Ensure quality assurance.
  • Report adverse events.
  • Assist with prescriber and patient outreach.
