What You Will do in this Role: Assist in delivery of pharmacy services including order entry, stocking, IV preparation, ordering, transportation and any other duty as allowed or requested by the pharmacist. Provide communication of pertinent pharmacy issues. Participate in the quality improvement activities of the department Participate in hospital meetings/committees as required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent. College courses desirable but not required.
  • 3 years Pharmacy Technician experience preferred, but not required.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician
  • Emergency drug therapy – ACLS/BLS
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Working knowledge of: Pharmacy reference materials and utilization for provision of drug information
  • Computer systems
  • Practice of inventory/stock control and systems
  • Drug/solutions delivery systems
  • Current laws/regulations which affect the practice of pharmacy
  • Human development knowledge/skills
  • Pharmaceutical Care Needs of Neonatal, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patients
  • Know the definitions of fundamental computer terms related to applications software and desktop PC's
  • Know how to open, read, and respond to email
  • Know how to manage electronic files
  • Know how to print electronic documents and reports

Responsibilities
