About The Position

A non-certified pharmacy technician is subject to the supervision of a registered pharmacist as defined by Kentucky Law and Regulations. Functions performed by a non-certified technician are subject to review by the pharmacist who directed the technician to perform the functions. This may include entering prescriptions on a computer, entering refills on a computer, counting and filling prescriptions, and performing other suitable tasks as directed by the pharmacist as long as this is under the supervision of a pharmacist, and in compliance with Federal & State laws and regulations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge and basic understanding of the interpersonal dynamics operative within the working relationships of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Registration or license required by the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy
• Current Kentucky Driver’s license, auto insurance, and unlimited access to a reliable automobile
• No positive drug or alcohol test (including pre-employment, random, post-accident or reasonable suspicion)
• Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in confidential matters
• Must be able to drive for extended periods of time with no ill effects
• Must be flexible and have good written and oral communications skills
• Team members will be expected to comply with Bluegrass Care Navigators (BCN) Employee Health, infectious disease, and vaccination policies
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile in good working order, that is insured in accordance with state minimum requirements
