About The Position
The Certified Pharmacy Technician I assists the pharmacist with pharmaceutical preparation, distribution, and record keeping. The role performs a variety of technical pharmacy services in the Department, designated satellites, and service and patient care areas. This full-time position is based at Luckow Pavilion and works the day shift.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess or be eligible for pharmacy technician registration.
- Pharmacy technician certification required.
- Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods.
- Ability to work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staff.
- Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.
- Ability to set priorities and solve problems.
- Ability to respond quickly to emergency requests.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to assist in meeting pharmaceutical care needs across neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
Nice To Haves
- College courses preferred.
- Two to three years of pharmacy technician experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist the pharmacist with pharmaceutical preparation and distribution.
- Perform pharmaceutical supply record-keeping functions.
- Provide technical pharmacy services in the Department, designated satellites, and service and patient care areas.
- Assist in meeting the pharmaceutical care needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
