About The Position

The Certified Pharmacy Technician I assists the pharmacist with pharmaceutical preparation, distribution, and record-keeping functions for pharmaceutical supplies. The role performs a variety of technical pharmacy services in the Department, designated satellites, and service and patient care areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess or be eligible for pharmacy technician registration.
• Pharmacy technician certification required.
• Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods.
• Ability to work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staff.
• Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.
• Ability to set priorities and solve problems.
• Ability to respond quickly to emergency requests.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to assist in meeting pharmaceutical care needs of patients across neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups.

Nice To Haves

• College courses preferred.
• Two to three years of pharmacy technician experience preferred.
