About The Position

GOLFTEC is a golf instruction company with more than 260 locations worldwide. Since 1995, its coaches have used technology and data-driven feedback to help golfers improve. The Certified Personal Coach joins a community of golf professionals who deliver on GOLFTEC’s mission to help people play better golf. Coaches complete GOLFTEC University (GTU), a comprehensive training program combining on-the-job training at a GOLFTEC Center with in-person training at GOLFTEC headquarters in the Denver metro area. The role suits candidates who are passionate about teaching golf, motivated to succeed as part of a team, and interested in using golf technology. Compensation includes a base hourly rate, monthly commissions, bonus opportunities, and other performance-based components. Compensation metrics are based on individual and team performance. The estimated total compensation range is $75,000–$90,000. A $2,000 signing bonus is paid upon successful graduation from GOLFTEC University. The position is at GOLFTEC Irvine.

Requirements

Preferred: 2 or more years of experience in golf instruction or club fitting.
Strongly preferred: prior knowledge of golf swing mechanics.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate in a professional, team-based environment.
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, or crouch for extended periods and lift items weighing more than 30 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Affiliation with the PGA or LPGA.
Graduation from a PGM program.

Responsibilities

Graduate from GOLFTEC University, GOLFTEC’s comprehensive training program.
Use golf technology to help students improve their game.
Recommend teaching content to support customized lesson plans for students of varying skill levels.
Provide GOLFTEC services, including TECFIT club fitting, outdoor playing lessons, and short-game lessons.
Create a high-level experience for students inside and outside the training bays.
Use GOLFTEC’s proprietary technology, including Optimotion and TECSWING teaching software.
Maintain the Training Center environment, equipment, and technology.
Perform daily opening and closing functions for the Training Center.
Participate in continuing education, including distance learning and seminars.
