Lutheran Social Services of WI and Upper MI (LSS) is looking for a dedicated and passionate Hybrid-Remote, Certified Peer Specialist to join our Family Centered Treatment Team. This role is part-time, approximately 15 hours per week, and focuses on working with clients navigating substance abuse challenges and recovery in Fond du Lac, Columbia, Sauk, and Adams Counties. A Certified Peer Specialist is defined as an individual with lived experience of mental health and/or substance use challenges who has completed formal training and certification. They utilize their experiences and recovery journey, combined with skills training and continuing education, to support individuals facing mental health and/or substance use challenges. The role actively centers peer support principles within a defined role, collaborating as part of an agency's team. The Family Centered Treatment (FCT) team operates as a fully implemented, home-based, evidence-based trauma treatment model aimed at stabilizing or reunifying families. The program's objective is to assist families in finding practical solutions to problems, thereby maintaining family unity within the community and addressing inter-generational trauma. The core philosophy emphasizes the inherent strengths and resources within each individual.
