Family Centered Treatment Specialist

HEALTH CONNECT AMERICA, INC•Camden, TN

About The Position

The Family Centered Treatment Specialist provides quality psychotherapeutic services to children, adolescents, and families using the Family Centered Treatment (FCT) model. Services are delivered primarily in clients’ homes and communities, with a family focus and in accordance with the model’s service definition and fidelity requirements. The specialist must complete FCT certification within one year of employment to continue providing FCT services and remain employed, and must complete required checkoffs and internal trainings by their deadlines. The role includes providing 24/7 on-call coverage to a caseload of families and children. Because services are provided in living environments and scheduled for the convenience of children and families, the position requires a flexible work schedule. The specialist develops and implements service plans, coordinates treatment-team activities and assessments, provides psychoeducation and model-aligned interventions, tracks progress, and coordinates referrals, community resources, and discharge and aftercare planning. The specialist also collaborates with medical and non-medical providers, natural supports, and other behavioral health professionals to coordinate appropriate services. Requirements vary by state. A bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field and experience working with youth or families are required in several states; other states have additional credential, licensure, education, or experience requirements. Current FCT certification is preferred in all areas. The organization describes itself as a COA-accredited provider of mental and behavioral health services for children, families, and adults.
