Surgical Services - Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)
About The Position
The Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech will provide support in the operating room at a short-term acute care facility. This is a block-schedule position and does not float between units. The schedule includes on-call coverage, averaging one day per week and one Saturday/Sunday weekend in a six-week schedule. Weekend work is required for on-call coverage only. The expected staffing ratio is 1:1. The position requires at least 2–3 years of operating-room experience and confidence across orthopedic procedures (including total joints, spine, and trauma), urology, GYN, uro-GYN, vascular, general surgery, neuro spine, and some ENT. Experience with the Da-Vinci XI robot is required. The facility has 108 staff beds and uses Epic for charting. Scrubs are provided for the OR, Critical Care, ED, PACU, and Maternal Child departments; parking is free.
Requirements
- NBSTSA certification as an OR Tech.
- At least 2–3 years of OR experience.
- Confidence in orthopedics, including totals, spine, and trauma; urology; GYN; uro-GYN; vascular; general surgery; neuro spine; and some ENT.
- Da-Vinci XI Robot experience.
- Participate in on-call coverage averaging one day a week and one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) in a six-week schedule.
