About The Position

PruittHealth is seeking a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to help patients improve functional abilities, increase independence with daily activities, and enhance their quality of life. The role is based at a skilled nursing facility at 1000 Briarcliff Rd NE, Atlanta, Georgia. The COTA implements treatment plans under Occupational Therapist supervision and supports patient care through therapeutic activities, progress reporting, documentation, patient and caregiver education, and interdisciplinary care planning. New graduates are welcome to apply; rehabilitation or post-acute care experience is preferred. The position is full-time and offers compensation up to $100,000 annually, based on experience, schedule, and location.

Requirements

Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of practice.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Foreign-trained applicants must possess credentials deemed substantially equivalent by the applicable credentialing organization.

Experience in rehabilitation or post-acute care is preferred.

Responsibilities

Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under Occupational Therapist supervision.
Assist patients with activities of daily living and functional tasks.
Guide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve independence.
Observe and report patient progress to the Occupational Therapist.
Complete timely and accurate documentation.
Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment.
Support interdisciplinary care planning and treatment goals.
