About The Position
PruittHealth is hiring a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to help patients improve functional abilities, increase independence with daily activities, and enhance quality of life. The role is based at a skilled nursing facility in Valdosta, Georgia, and offers full-time, part-time, or PRN scheduling. Compensation is up to $100,000 annually, based on experience, schedule, and location. The COTA implements occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, supports patients with daily activities and therapeutic exercises, and contributes to interdisciplinary care planning. Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited OTA program.
- Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of practice.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Foreign-trained applicants must possess credentials deemed substantially equivalent by the applicable credentialing organization.

- Experience in rehabilitation or post-acute care preferred.
Responsibilities
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under OT supervision.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living and functional tasks.
- Guide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve independence.
- Observe and report patient progress to the Occupational Therapist.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation.
- Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment.
- Support interdisciplinary care planning and treatment goals.
