About The Position

Gulf Coast Village Skilled Nursing is hiring a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in Cape Coral, Florida. The position provides direct, hands-on care to residents and supports their physical and emotional well-being through compassionate, person-centered care. The assistant follows care plans and resident orders, monitors and reports changes in residents’ conditions to the nursing team, and helps maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in accordance with safety and infection-control standards. Requirements

Graduate from a Therapy Assistant accredited curriculum and be eligible for certification and/or licensure under state regulations.
Be a registered Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or eligible for registration in the state of Florida.
Have strong communication and customer service skills.
Be able to follow care plans and resident orders.

Responsibilities

Provide direct, hands-on care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
Support residents’ physical and emotional well-being by building meaningful connections and delivering compassionate, person-centered care.
Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition to the nursing team to ensure timely and appropriate care.
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment while following care plans, safety protocols, and infection-control standards.
