About The Position

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provides high-quality, patient-centered care by delivering delegated therapeutic services in accordance with licensing requirements and regulations. Under the supervision of the primary Occupational Therapist, the COTA administers therapeutic treatment and supports patients through therapeutic activities and exercise programs. The role works toward the goals in the physician's plan of care and supports patients throughout the inpatient rehabilitation program. This is a PRN, per diem, as-needed position.

Requirements

• Associate degree or vocational school graduate as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) qualification.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide delegated therapeutic services in accordance with licensing requirements and regulations.
• Administer therapeutic treatment under the supervision of the primary Occupational Therapist.
• Engage and support patients in therapeutic activities and exercise programs.
• Work toward the goals of the physician's plan of care and support patients throughout the program.
