About The Position
Arvin Post Acute is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join its rehabilitation team at a Medicare-certified skilled nursing facility in Arvin, California, just outside Bakersfield. The role supports residents in regaining independence and function through therapy in a compassionate environment. The COTA delivers treatments under the direction of a licensed occupational therapist and works with therapy and nursing staff, caregivers, and residents.
Requirements
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with a California license.
- CPR certification or ability to obtain it.
- Strong interpersonal and clinical skills.
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient treatments under licensed OT direction.
- Accurately document care and progress.
- Communicate with therapy and nursing staff.
- Assist with caregiver training and discharge preparation.
- Maintain the safety and cleanliness of treatment areas.
- Participate in training and staff in-services.
