About The Position

Vibra Healthcare is seeking a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join San Joaquin Valley Rehabilitation Hospital in Fresno, California. The 62-bed acute rehabilitation hospital provides services to people recovering from disabilities caused by injuries or illnesses, helping patients regain physical or cognitive abilities and return home with the highest possible level of independence. The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant provides and directs occupational therapy services to patients, including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, documentation, and communication. The role functions under physician orders.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Successful completion of the National Certification Examination for COTA.
• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of employment.
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities
