About The Position
Patewood Post Acute is a 120-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility seeking a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care under the direction of an Occupational Therapist. This role plays a key part in helping residents regain independence and improve quality of life.
Requirements
- Current COTA license in South Carolina (required, in good standing)
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred
- Knowledge of PointClickCare and Casamba preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide therapy treatments as directed by the Occupational Therapist
- Follow physician treatment plans and established care goals
- Document daily treatments, weekly progress notes, and all required therapy records
- Communicate patient progress and concerns with the interdisciplinary team
- Assist with discharge planning and caregiver education
- Train nursing staff and restorative aides as needed
- Participate in facility in-service training programs
- Maintain clean and safe treatment areas and equipment
- Ensure compliance with all state practice acts and regulatory standards
