About The Position
BrightStar Care is looking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to work with pediatric and adult patients under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist. This PRN position serves patients in their homes within Amarillo, TX, and surrounding Texas Panhandle communities. The role involves carrying out treatment plans, assisting patients with daily activities, coordinating visits, and documenting progress.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Texas COTA license
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Own device and reliable internet connection required to access your schedule and complete charting
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 1 year of experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Carry out treatment plans established by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Provide occupational therapy services in patients’ homes
- Assist patients with activities that support daily function and independence
- Coordinate visits with patients and families
- Document services and communicate patient progress to the care team
