About The Position

Sentara is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. This is an in-patient setting at the Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. This is a Full-Time, Day shift opportunity. Position Summary As a COTA with Sentara Health, you will administer occupational therapy treatments and procedures under supervision of an Occupational therapist. May assist in the development of treatment plans, carry out routine functions, and document the progress of treatment within the scope of treatment plans established by an Occupational therapist. Provides age appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members. Associates level degree, Certificate, Diploma or degree from an accredited school required. Current licensure in the state of Virginia or North Carolina, as applicable, and current National Board Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (NBCOT)

Requirements

  • Associate level degree - Occupational Therapy Assistant (Certificate, Diploma or degree from an accredited school required.
  • Current licensure in the state of Virginia or North Carolina, as applicable, and current National Board Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (NBCOT)
  • Basic Life Safety (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association

Responsibilities
