About The Position

PARS Therapy is seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join its home health team in Jasper, Texas. Requirements

• Active COTA certification for the state of Texas.
• Solid understanding of occupational therapy practices and evaluation tools, such as Katz ADL and Lawton IADL scales.
• Proficiency with digital documentation and therapy software.

Responsibilities

• Support clients in developing, recovering, and maintaining daily living and work skills.
• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Adapt and apply therapeutic interventions to enhance safety and independence in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
• Educate clients on breaking tasks into manageable steps and using adaptive strategies.
• Recommend and train clients in the use of adaptive equipment.
• Assess home environments and suggest modifications based on client needs.
• Collaborate with families and caregivers, providing guidance and education.
• Track and report patient progress toward treatment goals.
• Accurately document care provided and maintain up-to-date records.
• Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure continued progress and support.
