About The Position

AdvantageCare Rehabilitation is hiring a Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team at Kane Community Living Center – McKeesport in McKeesport, PA. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a therapy-focused organization. Our clinicians are supported by leaders who understand therapy and the crucial role COTAs play in patient recovery. At Kane McKeesport, you will work with an interdisciplinary team serving a geriatric population, developing meaningful relationships with residents.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current or eligible Pennsylvania COTA licensure
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A collaborative, patient-centered approach
Interest in working with older adults in a rehabilitation setting

Responsibilities

Providing skilled occupational therapy interventions according to the established plan of care
Helping residents improve strength, mobility, coordination and functional independence
Addressing activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, bathing and self-care
Monitoring patient progress and communicating changes with the supervising Occupational Therapist
Educating and supporting residents, families and caregivers
Collaborating with PT, OT, SLP, nursing and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
Completing documentation accurately and timely
Helping residents work toward meaningful functional goals and greater independence
