Requirements

  • OTA Associate Degree from accredited OTA program required.
  • Certification as OTA by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) required.
  • Current licensure in state employed

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and experience with sensory integration is recommended and preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the evaluation process by implementing delegated assessments, and by providing verbal and written reports of observations and patient capacities to the OT.
  • Performs re-assessment and discharge planning under supervision of an OT if OT reviews and interprets the information provided by the OTA and integrates that information into the decision-making process. Follows documented OT treatment plan for patients
  • Reports verbally or in writing (according to patient/carrier/company needs) in conferences, staffings and other meetings to inform necessary personnel, insurance carriers, patients’ families, and patients (as appropriate) of patient testing, treatment and progress.
  • Under supervision of OT, consults with patients, families, and therapists as appropriate from various clinic disciplines to instruct, advise or inform them of procedures and tests.
