Midtown Oaks Post Acute is seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our outstanding rehabilitation team on a part-time basis. Requirements
- Current California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing, post-acute, rehabilitation, or long-term care experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Assist patients in improving functional mobility and independence with daily activities
- Implement individualized treatment plans and therapeutic exercises
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately
- Communicate effectively with therapists, nursing staff, physicians, residents, and families
- Support discharge planning and continuity of care
- Maintain compliance with all facility, state, and federal regulations
