About The Position

We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. In this role, you will execute individual treatment plans for clients under the supervision of a licensed OTR supervisor. You will regularly measure clinical signs and symptoms to determine the effectiveness of treatment and progression towards goals, communicating your findings to your supervising OTR. You will also complete all necessary documentation using the company's electronic record system within the expected timeframe, and educate and train families about various OT techniques and strategies. The role involves working with and developing strategies to overcome various behaviors, meeting minimum utilization goals and other business objectives, and collaborating with peers in other disciplines for clients seen for multiple services. You must be willing to complete Occupational Therapy treatments both in-person and via telehealth (if clinically appropriate) and have a strong desire to work with a wide array of patients (age, race, ethnicity, etc).

Requirements

  • Current knowledge of treatment practices and a drive to continually learn about and explore new treatment practices that may benefit our clients
  • Highly flexible and agile
  • Highly collaborative, team-oriented and customer service driven
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited school or program.
  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License from the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT)
  • Current Registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

Responsibilities

  • Execute individual treatment plans for clients under the supervision of a licensed OTR supervisor.

  • Complete all necessary documentation (Kareo notes) using the Company's electronic record system within the expected timeframe.

  • Collaborate with peers in other disciplines within Easy Speech for clients who are seen for multiple services.
