About The Position
Southeast Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center is hiring a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join its care team in North Easton, Massachusetts. The role assists with collecting assessment data and providing direct treatment to a general rehabilitation caseload under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist. It also participates in clinical program development and implementation. Weekly pay is up to $36 an hour.
Requirements
- Associate degree in occupational therapy assistant from an accredited program, at minimum.
- Continuing education units (CEUs) per state licensure requirements.
- Massachusetts OTA license.
- Ability to function effectively in multifaceted systems and interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to perform documentation, manipulate equipment, and provide direct patient care.
- Ability to work with a wide range of personality types, ages, and diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to articulate and comprehend English.
- Standing and walking for significant amounts of time is necessary.

Responsibilities
- Under a physician’s order, provide direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care.
- Provide treatment in individual, supervised, and group settings.
- Contribute to team meetings and decision-making as defined by the program.
- Consult with and train patients, residents, and caregivers.
- Monitor efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with a supervisor.
- Document activities promptly using the company’s clinical documentation system.
- Apply knowledge of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.
- Participate in clinical program development and implementation.
