About The Position
Independence Rehab is seeking a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join the therapy team at Bethany at Pacific, a skilled nursing facility located inside Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, Washington. The position supports residents through rehabilitation, recovery, and long-term care, helping them make meaningful progress and improve their quality of life. The COTA collaborates with the therapy team, the evaluating occupational therapist, and the interdisciplinary care team. The caseload is diverse and may include occasional clinically complex patients. Competency training is available.
Requirements
- Current Washington State Occupational Therapy Assistant license in good standing.
- Associate degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
- Organized, self-motivated, and patient-focused.
- Passion for working with the geriatric population.
Nice To Haves
- One year of skilled nursing facility experience is preferred; newer clinicians with a strong interest in geriatrics are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Support residents through rehabilitation, recovery, and long-term care to help them achieve meaningful progress and improved quality of life.
- Perform and assist with all types of transfers.
- Provide adaptive activities of daily living retraining and functional task practice.
- Collaborate closely with the evaluating occupational therapist and interdisciplinary care team.
